Gayle is a true friend, an artist's artiste, and a folksinger's folksinger. A lifelong dedication to her craft brings a seasoned ease to her varied repertoire of folk music performance, ranging from the silly to the sublime, while her "Sagittarius" clarity and unique perception of the world bring a reality to her graphic art which transports the viewer well beyond the realm of the visual.I first met Gayle more than 30 years ago, but my memories of her talent, beauty, and charm remain as vivid as her brushstrokes and as crisp as her finger picking.The works she has been willing to part with are certainly a blessing to the lucky few chosen to own a piece of her life and a page from history. Whether it be a poor busker on the streets of New Orleans or the stately one hundred year old Victorian architecture of downtown Eureka Springs, Arkansas, Gayle has a real ability to capture a moment on canvas in a form translatable to anyone capable of looking beyond the veneer of paint and ink.A true blessing to Eureka and to those fortunate enough to see her perform or attend a viewing of her paintings.Rainbojangles
