Terrible food. The service isn't too bad. Hi Mom.
Detroits oldest restaurant still shines
Roma Cafe is a must-try Italian Restaurant. It's the oldest continuously operated restaurant in Detroit. The food is fantastic. The tuxedo-clad waiters take your orders on PDA's, and it's surprisingly affordable. Do try!
terrible food and service
I would never go there again !My sauce was watery and the steak was rare when I ordered it medium.I've been treated better by McDonald's wait staff.Save your money and the drive to an unsafe part of detroit.
Old and Overrated
I've been to Roma Cafe a few times and have been disappointed each occasion. I've read the other reviews and have to agree that I think the experience is directly related to who you know and how well the staff knows you. Frequent

Outside of going to Italy, its the best!!!!!
If you can't go to Italy, go to Roma Cafe. The staff is great and the food is wonderful. Did I mention how cheap? You will not believe your eyes. Valet service too.
This place was awesome! We felt right at home, and didn't want to leave. My boys were even comfortable here. We ended up having two of the Veal Gourmet, which gave us more than enough food for four and it only cost $66 !
Fine Italian Restaurant
Fine Italian cuisine served in a comfortable atmosphere. They have a great wine selection as well as a full bar service. You must order the Caesar salad, which they prepare at your table.
Roma Cafe has fantastic Italian food!! Be sure to try the Chicken Cacciatora - wine, peppers, tomatoes - YUM! Not overly pricey, great service, nice place! Highly recommend!

Best Italian food Downtown since Lelli's on Woodward closed.
I've only had GREAT food and GOOD service here. MONDAY ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT BUFFET is absolutely the FINEST Italian food you can find anywhere (better than NYC!) and reasonably priced, too.
A big DISAPPOINTMENT
I was really excited about eating there, especially after reading all of the great reviews, however I was very disappointed. We arrived on time only to discover that our reservation had been mistakenly been bumped up by a half hour, not a
The best Italian restaurant in Detroit
I have been coming to this restaurant for 30 years, and I am in my 40's. I have NEVER had a bad meal there. The food is well prepared, plentiful, and served correctly. \r
The Roma Cafe is always busy. There is a good reason for this-
Since 1890, the city's oldest restaurant has offered classic Italian dishes in a refined setting at the Eastern Market.

Simply the BEST
Excellent food and service. An extensive menu with classic Italian favorites along with flavorful beef, seafood, and poultry selections. Salads are dressed with a very tasty Italian style vinaigrette that must be homemade. Cocktails
